It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart to announce the passing of Daniel Edward Jordan, age 48. Daniel passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
Dan was born on January 21, 1974 in Binghamton, NY and relocated to Morehead City, NC after the passing of his mother. He had a very special bond with his sister; one that not even in death can be erased. She was his Person and he will forever be hers. Dan was a sweet loving soul who loved his children most in the world. Even though they lived miles apart he always spoke about how proud he was of each of them. Being around Dan was always a good time. He made people smile and laugh, and if you were really lucky he would give you a “Whoop Whoop” which made you laugh even harder. Dan loved Busch beer, fishing, the warmth of the south, and his dog, Ruby. He was an animal lover like no other. He was a generous and hardworking man who touched the lives of many. He had a special place in his heart for his niece, Erica, to whom he shared secrets, struggles, laughs with and vowed to be best friends forever.
Dan is survived by his loving family; daughter, Marissa (Jeff) Ross of Alpharetta, GA, sons, Mason Jordan (Kaylee Whitney) of Lawrenceville, GA, Myles Jordan of Lawrenceville, GA and Anthony Reels of Greensville, NC, step-daughter, Maranda (Chris) Duplantis of Glendale, AZ, his pops, Jerry Valsak of Great Bend, PA, sister, Sherry L. Reese-Tyner (Kenneth) of Susquehanna, PA, nieces, Heather (Brad) Krayeski, Erica Blanton, Elizabeth (Mark) Wagner, Amanda (Gerald) Forsythe, uncle, Richard (Patty) Green of Maine, NY, aunt, Kathleen (David) Slavick of Maine, NY, many cousins, and his lifelong buddy, Ricky Ray of Greene, NY who was like his brother. Along with great-nephews Alexander, Keegan, Brandon, August, and Jensen, great-nieces, Natalee, Sophia, and Maya; who loved their Uncle Dan very much. He was predeceased by his mother, Sharon L. Green and father, Dale E. Jordan to those who received him at heaven’s gate with open arms.
“We think about you always, talk about you still, you never have been forgotten and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again.”
And from us, Daniel’s family, we would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dave and Debbie Turlington of Jacksonville, NC, for being his special friends and opening up your home to him. He loved and appreciated you dearly.
No services will be held at this time. If you wish, a memorial donation in Daniel's name can be made to your local Humane Society.
