Daniel Lee Ramsey

Jacksonville - Daniel Lee Ramsey, 96, of Jacksonville, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his residence.

Celebration of Life Services are private at the request of the family. 

Daniel accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and attended the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. He served as the Local Supervisor of the Maysville Church and Clerical Leader of the Maysville location for over 70 years. 

Daniel was united in matrimony to Katie Lou Marshall.  He was employed by the City of Jacksonville for over 30 years and was a supervisor in the water and sewer department. He also worked as a concrete worker for numerous years. Daniel also enjoyed hunting and supporting the Church. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Katie Lou Ramsey and his sons, Waconda Ramsey and Daniel Ramsey, Jr. 

Daniel leaves to cherish in his beloved memory his children, Diana Miller, Delma Young, Zelma Ramsey, Demetrius (Crystal) Ramsey, Avis Pointe, Perry (Linda) Ramsey, Deborah Newton, Sherrod (Angela) Ramsey, Meta (Calvin) Jackson, Conda Ramsey, Tilue Ramsey, Shelton Ramsey, Kay (Johnathan) Crider; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family and friends. 

Professional services are entrusted to Akridge Family Funeral Care of Jacksonville.
