Josephine (Jones) Hill

Jacksonville - Josephine Jones Hill of Jacksonville, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC.

A Graveside service will be held 2pm, Sunday October 22, 2023 at the Hill Family Cemetery (180 Hawes Run Road).

She is survived by her husband, Levi M. Hill of the home; son, Terence Hill of Jacksonville; daughters, Robin (Leonard) Tucker of Greensboro, Gina M. Hill of the home; brother, Rev. George (Dorothy) Jones, Jr of Jacksonville, grandchildren, Jalon and Joselin Tucker; sisters-in-love, Thelma Hill, Debra Berridge, Martha Cook; brothers-in-love, Alexander and Isaiah (Hannah) Hill; special sisters, Delores Simmons, Martha Rogers, Xiomaria Clyde; special sons, Elbert Alexander, Major Coleman; special daughters, Wanda J. (Keith) McMillan Austin, Alexandria D. (Darin) McMillan Taylor, Kelley J. Hill, Shante Simmons-Rambert, Melissa T. Ward, Partice Smith, and beloved "grand dog," Lunar Domino Hill (Lumino). 

Also left to cherish her love and memories a host of special nephews, nieces, and cousins of the Pollock, Jones, Barber, Monk, Sidbury, Dixon, Chapman, Chew, and Hill families.

Celebration of Life Services are entrusted to Akridge Family Funeral Care of Jacksonville.
