Obituary
Brooklyn - Manley Leo Hicks, Jr., 56 of Brooklyn, New York entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 3pm, Sunday September 4, 2022 at Akridge Family Funeral Care Chapel. Burial will follow immediately at the Duncan Family Cemetery (355 Hadley Collins Rd, Maysville, NC). The family will receive friends 12pm to 3pm Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 329 Hadley Collins Road, Maysville, NC.
Manley was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Marie White Hicks and sister, Junita Wallace.
He is survived by father Manley Leo Hicks (Pauline) of New York; son, Dontae Hicks of Raleigh; daughter, Ashley Finkley (Dorian) of Charlotte; sisters Tenika Williams, Veronica White, Teresa Hyatt, Jasmine Hicks, Shaniqua Hicks, Keisha Flores, Kappi Baker; brothers, Timothy Hicks; brother-in-law Derrck Wallace; a lifelong friend, Cynthia Finkley of Charlotte. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and host of family and friends.
