Jacksonville - Shirley Jean Nunnally of Jacksonville was born May 2, 1945, and ascended into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at New Hanover Medical Center, Wilmington NC after a sudden illness.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1pm, Friday November 10, 2023, at Town Creek Church. Burial will follow immediately after the service at the Town Creek Church Cemetery. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Shirley was the daughter of the late Mary Lena Simmons Shepard and Edgar T. Shepard. She was preceded in death by her biological father Mayshock McNear.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Anne Mitchell of Jacksonville.
Celebration of Life services are entrusted to Akridge Family Funeral Care of Jacksonville.
